Aim of the College
The chief aim of the College is to achieve “Excellence in Education” through various activities fostering professional values and developing learning and research skills among the students and scholars who have a flair for the ideas of education.

Meston College of Education
The vision of the Founder-Principal , Rev. T.R. Foulger and his pioneering efforts enabled the College to see new milestones and reach post graduate status with M.Ed., degree programme in 1943 with co-operation from various institutions in the city. In 1975 the College was recognized for research leading to Ph.D., degree and in 1991 for M.Phil., course. Thus the College now has four programme of study and research. Prof. D.T. Chiranjivi who succeeded the Rev. T.R. Foulger and subsequent principals. Prof. R. John Victor, Prof. A.M.Sathya, Dr.L.D. Rabindradas, Dr.G.C. Lionel, Dr.(Miss) Adella Paul and Dr. (Mrs.) Merlyn Sanders were illustrious old students of the College who distinguished themselves as eminent educationists. With the great historical past the College continues to serve the cause of education by setting up high goals and striving towards them.
