The Meston College of Education, founded by early Missionary pioneers in education in 1937, is governed by the Meston Education and Development Association.
The College of Education evolved from Wesley College, which was a pioneering Arts College that functioned for over seventy years from 1861 to 1933. It is affiliated to the Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University, recognized by NCTE, and aided by the State Government.
The college conducts academic programmes leading to B.Ed., M.Ed., and Ph.D. degrees. In addition to academic pursuits, students actively participate in welfare and community activities and engage in educational extension work.
