The Man Behind the Mission
Thomas Robert Foulger

A visionary from Hastings, England, Reverend Thomas Robert Foulger dedicated his life to education and ministry in India. Arriving in Chennai in 1923, he mastered Tamil, rose to become Headmaster, earned his M.A. from London, and founded Meston College of Education in 1937 — the first institution to launch the M.Ed. programme in Madras. He lived 102 remarkable years, leaving a legacy that endures.
